Overview

Since its founding in 1978, Mount Snow Academy has used the one on one teaching model with great success. MSA has a loyal corps of top notch teachers, most with advanced degrees and decades of teaching experience. Our consistent group of high quality educators distinguishes the Mount Snow Academy as one of the finest learning institutions of its kind.

Until 1996, MSA focused on Alpine Ski Racing. MSA graduates have had success as junior racers, winning the Vermont Cup multiple times, and participating at the world Junior Championships at Topolino, Italy. Mount Snow Academy graduates have gone on to ski for a variety of collegiate ski teams (Middlebury, Williams, Colby Sawyer, Bowdoin, St Lawrence, and the Universities of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Colorado, to name a few). Many have advanced to ski at the NCAA and USCSA National Championships.

In 1996 Mount Snow Academy added Freestyle to its repertoire followed by the Snowboard discipline in 1998. Our Freestylers routinely advance to the Junior Olympics, earning top 10 results. MSA Snowboarders begin competing at a local level, often earning a spot at the USASA Nationals. The next step is the Revolution Tour where a number of our athletes excel. Grand Prix Events where amateurs and pros compete have seen a number of MSA athletes earn a top 15 place.
