About Us

Since its founding in 1978, Mount Snow Academy has specialized in the one on one teaching model with great success. MSA has an outstanding faculty, most with advanced degrees and decades of teaching experience. Our consistent group of high quality educators distinguishes the Mount Snow Academy as one of the finest learning institutions of its kind.

Until 1996, MSA focused on Alpine Ski Racing. MSA graduates have had success as junior racers, winning the Vermont Cup multiple times and participating at the World Junior Championships at Topolino, Italy as well as the Whistler Cup in British Columbia, Canada. Mount Snow Academy graduates have gone on to ski for a variety of collegiate teams (Middlebury, Williams, Colby Sawyer, Bowdoin, St. Lawrence, Boston, Sierra Nevada, and the Universities of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Colorado, to name a few). Many have advanced to ski at the NCAA and USCSA National championships.

Mount Snow has produced a recent Olympic gold medalist in Kelly Clark (snowboarding/halfpipe), US Ski Team members like Eliza Outtrim (freestyle/moguls) and a host of collegiate competitors. Students attend Mount Snow Academy from early November through early April.

The Mount Snow Academy Mission

Mount Snow Academy seeks to create a group of young people and adults who, together, respect individual talent, responsibility, academic curiosity, and athletic development in pursuit of their highest potential in academic and athletic achievement.
